Your wellbeing matters

More than a lab report.
A plan for moving forward.

A result inside a laboratory's reference range does not make your symptoms any less real. If you still do not feel well, the conversation should continue. We look at how your results fit your symptoms, changes over time, medications and overall health to identify meaningful next steps.

Our goal is to help you work toward better day-to-day wellbeing through thoughtful, individualized care. Hormone optimization means finding an appropriate approach for you and reviewing how you respond—not chasing a higher number or assuming everyone needs the same treatment.

Feeling heard is the starting point. We take persistent concerns seriously and look for opportunities to improve your care, whether that involves hormone treatment, further evaluation or another approach.

“Have you been to your doctor to check your hormones only to have them say everything is within normal limits, yet you just don't feel normal? Hi, I'm Kurtis, the medical director here at BodyPoint in Lehi.”

“By looking at a complete hormone panel, including thyroid and sex hormones, not just a basic one like other hormone clinics, we take the time necessary, usually about an hour, to dive into your symptoms on your first visit. Then we have labs drawn, go over the results with you line by line to determine a treatment plan that is specific to your body and your needs.”

Your symptoms deserve a conversation

Support for the changes you are experiencing.

Hormonal changes can affect everyday comfort and confidence. We help women and men explore whether hormone therapy could address their symptoms, while considering other factors that may contribute to how they feel.

For women

Hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness and disrupted sleep can make perimenopause and menopause feel overwhelming. You do not have to navigate these changes without a conversation about support.

Appropriately selected hormone therapy may relieve certain menopausal symptoms. We consider your symptoms, health history and treatment preferences when exploring an individualized plan, including pellet options where appropriate.

For men

Changes in sexual desire, energy or wellbeing deserve a thoughtful evaluation rather than a quick dismissal. We review how you feel alongside your history and laboratory findings to explore what could help.

When testosterone deficiency is suspected, appropriate confirmatory testing is important. Treatment decisions also consider fertility goals and other health factors so that the plan fits your life.

Pellet therapy at BodyPoint

A personalized option that fits your life.

BodyPoint offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for women and men, with pellet therapy as a primary option. We will talk through your needs, treatment choices and what ongoing care could look like.

Talk Through Your Options

What are hormone pellets?

Pellets are small hormone-containing implants placed under the skin during an office procedure. They release medication over time and can reduce the need for daily dosing. The hormone, dose and reinsertion timing require an individualized clinical plan.

What should you know before placement?

A pellet's dose cannot be adjusted as readily as a daily medication. Placement also has procedure-related risks, including discomfort, bruising, bleeding, infection or extrusion. Ask how side effects and unexpectedly high hormone levels would be managed.

How do pellets compare with other options?

Hormone medications may also come as patches, gels, creams, tablets or injections, depending on the hormone and indication. Availability and FDA approval vary by product. Ask your clinician which choices are suitable and whether an alternative better fits your symptoms or medical history.

A clearer path to care

Listen. Review. Personalize. Follow through.

Bring a medication and supplement list, any recent laboratory results, and questions about your symptoms or previous hormone treatment.

  1. Start with how you feel

We start with your concerns and the changes you want help understanding. Share your symptoms, health history, medications, previous treatment and what better wellbeing would mean in daily life.

  2. Look at your labs in context

We review laboratory findings alongside your symptoms and clinical history—not as a standalone pass-or-fail report. If you are still struggling despite a result in the reference range, we explore what else may be contributing and what further evaluation or changes in care may be appropriate.

  3. Build a plan around you

Where hormone treatment is appropriate, we discuss the formulation, delivery method and follow-up with you. We explain the expected benefits, practical considerations and alternatives so you can make an informed choice.

  4. Review progress and adjust thoughtfully

Your response matters. Ongoing review of symptoms, side effects and appropriate testing helps guide care over time. Optimization is a process of assessment and reassessment, not a promise of instant results.

Start with understanding

What does “bioidentical” mean?

Bioidentical hormones have the same molecular structure as hormones your body produces. They may be used as part of an individualized hormone treatment plan.

The term describes the hormone, not a single product or delivery method. Some bioidentical medications are FDA-approved; compounded preparations are not FDA-approved as finished products. We encourage you to ask about the specific medication being proposed and why it fits your situation.

A path toward feeling better

Progress is personal.
Your care can evolve.

Relief from a symptom that has been disrupting your life can make a meaningful difference. With an appropriate treatment plan, some people experience improvements in menopausal symptoms or symptoms related to a confirmed hormone deficiency. Your goals and your experience guide the conversation.

We want you to feel informed, supported and involved in your care. Response varies, and reviewing both benefits and side effects is part of finding an approach that works for you.

You do not need to have all the answers before your first visit. Bring your questions and any recent laboratory results, and we will start with where you are today.

Answers before your appointment

Bioidentical hormone therapy FAQs.

Is bioidentical hormone therapy the same as hormone replacement therapy?

BHRT is hormone therapy using molecules that match hormones made by the body. “Bioidentical” does not describe a single brand or treatment method. Both FDA-approved and compounded medications may use bioidentical hormones, and their regulatory status and evidence differ.

What if my labs are “normal,” but I still do not feel well?

Your symptoms deserve attention. At BodyPoint, a laboratory reference range is one part of the picture—not the end of the conversation. We review symptoms, history and laboratory trends together and consider what additional evaluation or individualized changes may help. Being within range does not mean your concerns should be dismissed, and it does not automatically mean that increasing hormones is the answer.

Does BodyPoint offer hormone pellet therapy?

Yes. Pellet therapy is a primary BHRT option at BodyPoint for women and men. Suitability depends on your evaluation. Ask about the specific hormone product, its FDA approval status, alternatives, placement and follow-up before deciding.

How do you approach safe, individualized hormone optimization?

We consider your symptoms and goals alongside your health history, the proposed medication and appropriate monitoring. The aim is a thoughtful plan that supports wellbeing, not a universal hormone target. Bioidentical hormones are not automatically safer than other therapies; FDA approval, formulation, dose and route matter. Discuss fertility plans, unexplained bleeding, and any personal history of cancer or blood clots before treatment.

What should I know about treatment risks and pellet considerations?

Hormone treatment is not suitable for everyone. Depending on the medication and your history, considerations can include blood clots, hormone-sensitive cancer, uterine-lining changes, blood-pressure changes and elevated red blood cell counts. People with a uterus generally need protection of the uterine lining when using systemic estrogen. Testosterone can suppress sperm production, making fertility plans important to discuss.

Pellet placement can cause discomfort, bruising, bleeding, infection or extrusion, and the dose is not as readily adjustable as a daily medication. For menopause, ACOG recommends appropriate FDA-approved options over compounded preparations when suitable approved products are available. We encourage an open conversation about the specific product, benefits, limitations and alternatives before proceeding.

How quickly will I notice a difference?

Response depends on the symptom being treated, formulation and individual. Some changes may be noticed earlier than others. We encourage you to ask which improvements are realistic for your situation, how progress will be reviewed and when to report side effects. There is no guaranteed timeline that applies to everyone.

Will hormone therapy help me lose weight?

Hormone therapy should not be presented as a weight-loss treatment. Body composition and weight concerns may need a separate assessment. The goal of hormone treatment is to address an appropriate clinical indication, not to guarantee fat loss or a particular appearance.

What does treatment cost, and is it covered by insurance?

Ask the BodyPoint team for current consultation, testing, medication, placement and follow-up costs before treatment. Insurance benefits vary, so check your plan and the clinic's payment arrangements rather than assuming coverage.
